The Cerec® machine is a state-of-the-art computer-aided 3D design technology that helps us restore your tooth in one visit. With this technology, Dr. Pisacane prepares the tooth, an optical impression is taken and Dr. Pisacane then designs the restoration using CEREC 3-D. After the design is completed the software program sends the information to the milling chamber in the next room. The restoration is usually completed in an average of fifteen minutes. Once the restoration is completed Dr. Pisacane fits the restoration and then bonds it in place. Most of our patients report less post-operative sensitivity, possibly because they leave the office with a well-fitted and bonded restoration, instead of a temporary crown.
