 Your initial appointment with Dr. Pisacane will usually consist of a review of your health history, a complete oral examination, oral cancer check, periodontal (gum and bone) exam, x-rays and photographs. Dr. Pisacane feels it is essential that he get a good base line of your oral health.
Please be sure to bring a list of any medications (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.)you are taking, the phone number of your physician and alert us if you have a medical condition (i..e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves or joints, rheumatic fever, etc. )that may be of concern prior to any treatment.
Based on the oral examination and a review of the x-rays and his notes, Dr. Pisacane will give you a complete treatment plan. This information is usually given during a second visit that is often combined with an appointment with the hygienist.
